“ Shetou Township”

社頭／清水岩寺 Shetou／Cingshueiyan Temple

Shetou Township produces such cash crops as
crystal guava and pearl guava, which are well-known
island-wide. After the World War II, Cheng Father &
Son established the first sock factory “Victory Sock
Factory” and laid the foundation for “the Hometown of
Socks”. Cing Shueiyan Temple was the first well-known
temple to worship San Bao Fo. Nearby Cing Shueiyan
Forest Recreational Area, with forest walking trails,
bike paths and large-scale camping site for scouts and
hot spring pool for feet, is a good place to experience
life in the wild.
