Changhua City

Changhua City is where Changhua County Government is
located and is situated at the interaction of the mountain line and
the coastal line of Taiwan Railway’s western line, which makes it
an important transportation hub. With an ancient name of Biansan,
Changhua City is a city full of rich and diverse culture. It has a
number of historical sites, such as Confucian Temple (a national
historical site), Nanyao Temple, Fan-shaped Depot, Wude Shrine,
as well as such famous scenic spots as Baguashan Scenic Spot. It
also has many famous local snacks, in particular the so-called “three
treasures of Changhua”-Changhua meatballs, “cat and mouse”
noodles and stew pork on rice-which end up mouthwatering snacks
with a distinctive local flavor.
