竹塘鄉 Chutang Township

舊名「蘆竹塘」，位於濁水溪的北岸，水利灌溉方
便，為彰化平原著名的農業鄉，農產豐富，稻米、洋
菇、牛蒡及濁水溪米製成的「竹塘米粉」等，都深受消
費者喜愛。而在地已有400年的九龍大榕公，為全國最
大的榕樹，成為竹塘鄉別緻的景色之一。

It is situated at the north bank of the Jhoushei
River. Convenient irrigation source makes it a famous
agricultural township on Changhua Plain. Of all
abundant products, rice, mushrooms, burdock and
Chutang rice noodles made from Jhuoshei River rice are
all very popular. Chiulong banyan, which is more than
400 years old, is the largest banyan in Taiwan and thus
becomes one of Chutang’s unique sceneries.
